Situated on the Puyricard plateau to the summit of the Trévaresse, at an altitude between 350 and 450 metres, the Château du Seuil vineyard benefits from the sun and a particularly favourable and diverse terroir for growing grapes: dry, filtering limestone soil with diversified exposure; a dry and hot climate in summer but cool at night; a permanent and beneficial Mistral breeze that reduces the risk of disease; an altitude that limits the alcohol content of wines and gives them freshness, especially for whites and rosés.
Entirely covered by the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence designation, it includes the main varieties of the designation: Grenache Noir, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Syrah, Cinsault, Grenache Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Ugni Blanc, Rolle.

RED AND ROSE GRAPES
SYRAH
Small black grapes with bluish tints that produce solid and coloured wines, harsh in the early years as they are rich in tannins, but particularly suitable for extended ageing. Over the years, its evolution provides the wine with the characteristic notes of vanilla, Havana tobacco and candied red fruit.
GRENACHE
This variety originated in Spain, widely used in Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence,
gives young wine elegant aromas of red berries, then, with age, it evolves
towards more spicy and animal notes. It provides richness, depth and power to
the wine.
CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Not widespread in Provence, it gives the wine a tannic structure, both powerful and gentle at the same time, therefore facilitating ageing: its characteristic nose of green pepper and blackcurrant distinguishes it from other varieties.
CINSAULT
Tasty with a beautiful appearance, this variety from Provence has long been
used as a table grape. Widely used in Provence for the elaboration of rosé
wines, it provides freshness, delicacy and a fruity touch, nuancing the power
of other grapes.
WHITE GRAPES
ROLLE
This variety of grape is from Lingure, which has always been cultivated in
Provence, is both robust and has great taste. It provides wines with rich and
balanced citrus and pear flavours, as well as a great body and aromas.
UGNI BLANC
This variety of grape is from Tuscany, with round and juicy berries, provides a clear and fruity wine with great finesse.
