Climate

The Coteaux d’Aix region benefits from mild winters and very hot, sunny summers. Nevertheless, the varying relief creates microclimates, notably quite harsh winter conditions along the Trévaresse mountain chain (between 400 to 480 metres).

The region is subjected to the capricious Mistral wind, which is more temperate in the south closer to the Mediterranean. The Mistral causes variations in temperature, but also brings about a drier climate, resulting in good vineyard hygiene, and favouring sustainable agriculture.
